Smart Title Case keeps short words such as “of”, “the” and “and” in lowercase unless they are the first or last word. Alternate Case flips the case of every letter continuously through the whole text, while aLtErNaTiNg CaSe restarts the flip on each word. The identifier styles (camelCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE, dot.case, /slash/case, Train-Case) split your text into words and join them again, so punctuation is dropped in those modes only.

Case converter — frequently asked questions

No. The conversion happens entirely in your browser with plain JavaScript. Your text is never sent to a server, logged or stored, so you can safely paste confidential content.

Title Case capitalises the first letter of every significant word and leaves small words such as “of”, “the” or “and” lowercase unless they are the first or last word. Sentence case capitalises only the first letter of each sentence and lowercases everything else.

camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, CONSTANT_CASE, dot.case, /slash/case and Train-Case rebuild the text from its words, which means separators such as commas, full stops and hyphens are removed. Use UPPERCASE, lowercase or Title Case if you need to keep punctuation exactly as typed.

Yes. The “Escape for JS string” button escapes backslashes, quotes, tabs and line breaks so the result can be pasted straight into JavaScript or JSON without breaking the syntax. The “URL encode” button does the same job with percent-encoding for query strings, while “Copy as HTML entity” converts angle brackets and ampersands for safe use in HTML markup.
