How to calculate your EMI

1

Enter the loan amount

Type the amount you want to borrow and pick your currency — Pakistani Rupee (Rs) is the default, with USD, EUR, GBP, INR, AED, SAR, CAD and AUD also available.

2

Set the rate and tenure

Add the annual interest rate and the repayment period in years and months, or switch to total months if that is how your bank quotes it.

3

Choose home, car, personal or business so the tool can suggest a realistic interest rate for Pakistan and highlight the average you will pay.

4

Read the schedule and export

EMI & loan calculator — frequently asked questions

The EMI uses the standard reducing-balance formula: EMI = P × r × (1 + r)n ÷ ((1 + r)n − 1), where P is the loan amount, r is the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n is the total number of monthly instalments. Each month you pay interest on the outstanding balance and the rest reduces the principal.

Most Pakistani home loans are priced on a floating KIBOR-linked basis and typically land between 12% and 20% per year depending on the bank, your income and your credit score. Auto finance is usually cheaper at roughly 12–17%, while unsecured personal and business loans carry higher rates of around 18–30%. Use the “Use typical rate” button to insert a realistic mid-point for the loan type you select.

Yes. The table lists each instalment with the amount that goes towards principal, the interest portion and the remaining balance. It is fully scrollable, so a 20-year loan shows all 240 rows. You can also download the complete schedule as a CSV file for your records or your lender.

Absolutely. The calculator is loan-type agnostic — pick the matching loan type for a realistic rate hint and the maths adapts instantly. Only the interest rate differs between home, car, personal and business loans, so the same schedule and charts work for all of them.
