PDF merger — frequently asked questions

Yes. There is no watermark, no file-size counter, no sign-up and no page limit. You can merge as many documents and pages as your device can comfortably handle.

Never. The merging is performed by the pdf-lib JavaScript engine running inside your own browser tab. Your documents are read from your device into memory and are never sent to a server.

Page content, vector graphics and embedded fonts are copied faithfully. Interactive elements such as form fields, annotations and internal bookmarks are not rebuilt by the merge operation, so flatten your forms before merging if you need them to stay editable.

Password-protected PDFs cannot be read by the browser engine, and very large scanned files can exhaust device memory. Remove the password first, or split huge documents into smaller parts and merge the results.
