How to project your SIP
Enter your monthly investment
Type the amount you invest every month and choose the currency — Pakistani Rupee (Rs) by default, with USD, EUR, GBP, INR, AED, SAR, CAD and AUD also available.
Set the return and the horizon
Add the annual return rate you expect and how many years you plan to stay invested. Long horizons matter more than small changes in the rate.
Add the optional levers
Add a one-time lump sum, an annual step-up such as 10% every year, and the inflation rate so you can see the real purchasing power of your corpus.
Study the growth curve
Read the year-by-year table and charts, then copy the summary or export the projection as a CSV file for your financial plan.
SIP & investment calculator — frequently asked questions
Your monthly contribution is compounded every month at the monthly rate (annual rate ÷ 12). The calculator walks through each month, adds the contribution, multiplies the balance by (1 + monthly rate) and tracks a separate lump-sum pot that compounds alongside it. This is the same as the formula FV = P × (((1 + r)n − 1) ÷ r) + lump × (1 + r)n, just with the step-up applied month by month.
A step-up means you increase the monthly instalment by a fixed percentage every year — for example investing Rs 25,000 a month and raising it by 10% each January. Because every extra rupee is invested for a different number of years, the compounding effect is powerful: a 10% annual step-up typically adds 25–40% more corpus over 15–20 years compared with a flat SIP.
Real value is your projected corpus discounted by inflation. If your portfolio grows 12% a year while inflation runs at 8%, your purchasing power only grows by roughly 4% a year. The “Real value” KPI shows what your final amount is worth in today’s money, which is the number that matters for goals like a house deposit or a retirement corpus.
No. Mutual funds, equities and bonds fluctuate, and a 12% average return is an assumption, not a promise. Mutual funds in Pakistan are subject to fund risk and tax on capital gains, and a broken period can reduce your corpus. Use the calculator for planning and stress-test the result at a lower return rate — for example 8% and 10% — before you commit money.
