How to crop and rotate an image

1

Load the picture

Drop a JPG, PNG or WEBP file into the upload area, or click it to pick one from your device.

2

Draw the crop

Drag a rectangle over the part you want to keep. Use a corner handle to resize and drag inside to reposition, then type exact width and height values if you need to.

3

Rotate, flip and tune

Spin the picture in 90° steps or with the fine angle slider, flip it horizontally or vertically, and balance brightness, contrast and saturation.

4

Download the result

Choose PNG or JPEG and save the cropped picture. The preview shows the exact output size and file weight before you download.

Image cropper and rotate tool — frequently asked questions

No. The crop is taken from the full-resolution pixels of the original file, so the exported image keeps every detail of the selected area. The on-screen preview is only a scaled-down guide.

Select “1:1 — square” in the aspect ratio dropdown. The crop box then locks to a square and stays square while you drag or resize it, which is exactly what profile pictures and passport-style avatars need.

The buttons turn the picture in exact 90° steps and swap the frame, which is useful for turning a phone photo upright. The slider adds a free angle from −180° to 180° so you can straighten a tilted shot. The two can be combined.

Yes. PNG output keeps the alpha channel, so cut-out logos stay on transparency. JPEG has no transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with white when you export in that format.
